A Walk in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, Maine

This morning on the way to the Marie Joseph Spiritual Center in Biddeford Pool, Wayne and I took a little detour to walk in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. It had just stopped raining and everything was lush, the colors were popping, trees were blooming and the air smelled fragrant. It was so tranquil! I hope you will enjoy the silent tour that follows:

  1. Lovely, lovely, lovely, and, yes, serene! Again beautiful photos, I especially like the one with the gnarled trunk. The chapel is stunning, is it denominational, or nondenominational? Was it built for the cemetery?

    1. Thanks, DeeDee! I don’t know the history of the chapel. We asked a groundskeeper about it, and he told us that it’s used only for weddings and funerals.

  2. Looking back through the photos, I noticed a headstone with figures lying on it … are they children?
