Yes, it does feel strange to have Christmas without assembling and enjoying my vintage aluminum Christmas tree! We both miss it! If we had the space I’d do two trees, but that’s not an option in our cozy little 1,200 sq ft house. However we are really enjoying having a real tree this year. Good news is that in addition to supporting the local economy, our tree will not be going to the dump in January but will be brought into our woods to provide a home for wildlife and provide nutrients for the ground.
Here’s our cute tabletop tree decked out with vintage trimmings for 2019!
So cheery! I love the record player in the corner too. Santa looks like he just went to a Mardi Gras parade.
(It probably smells wonderful in your house, but I sure do miss the aluminum tree.)🎄

Thank you! Normally the record player is where we have the tree. I agree with you about Santa! I love those old mercury glass beads and wanted to display them somehow, so I figured there’s no reason that Santa can’t wear them. I do love the fresh scent of the tree!

Love your tree. I’m not partial to the aluminum ones. I used to have real trees but I got tired of the mess and disposal. I’ve been trying to convince my husband to get a smaller tree but so far no dice.

Thank you! Do you mean you want a real but smaller tree, or a smaller fake? Maybe you can have his and her trees provided you don’t get stuck cleaning up “his” tree. The more the merrier! 😀

A smaller fake. I WOULD get stuck cleaning his tree! haha. Oh well. We’ll see what happens next year.
