Chipmunks are a gift!

Here is our Christmas card everyone! A special thanks to my dear little friend, Cider who is presently underground in torpor until the spring. I’m so happy to have and share the gift of chipmunks in my yard with you all. I would greatly appreciate it if you would answer a few questions in my comments:

Have my blog posts that feature and/or include chipmunks helped change your view of them? If so, in what way? Have I helped inspired a curiosity about wildlife and drama in your own backyard? Would you like to know the secrets of how to befriend a chipmunk?

Thank you and I’ll be back sometime after the holidays!

  1. Merry Christmas. When I am outside my Cocker Spaniel dog Is always with me. He makes sure he is my only animal friend. His name is Chip my daughter has his brother Dale. So at least he is named after a very famous Chipmunk.

  2. Triple “Likes”!
    That is adorable.
I love reading about your chipmunk adventures.
I didn’t grow up in an area that supported them so I like finding out about their contributions to nature, and people health.

  3. I really didn’t know anything about them except that I think they are beautiful. Your posts have shown me that we can be open and gentle with wildlife and that they can choose to become friends with us. I love watching the squirrels in our backyard but I don’t think I’ve seen any chipmunks. Love the Christmas card! And yes, share your secrets!

  4. Absolutely charming Christmas card! It’s almost 80 degrees here in Florida, so the photo of Cider made me smile to remember watching chippies scampering through the New Hampshire woods. Thank you!
