I snapped these pics in the golden light of yesterday afternoon. It was the most beautiful foliage and leaf cover in our yard yet this season. Right now it’s pouring rain and we have a high wind advisory with gusts up to 50 mph, so by tomorrow morning most of the leaves will be down. I’m so glad I savored them and I hope you’ve enjoyed my fall foliage photos!
(Almost to) last on the autumn “honey do” list for Wayne was to pressure wash the deck, so after mowing and raking leaves he got right to it. First step was to clear the deck. When he first started, the sky was overcast and a bit forlorn looking but then clouds quickly gave way to a golden splendor as the sun highlighted the brilliant fall foliage in our yard.
Last weekend was the grande finale for our honeymoon in New England! Our first stop was at a little antique school house in New Hampshire to have a hearty new England breakfast.
Wayne and I left early yesterday morning to head over to Sunday River Ski Resort to take a scenic ski lift ride. It was another great addition to our Autumn in New England Honeymoon Weekends!
Here’s another sideline adventure Wayne and I had during our foliage drive last Sunday. We walked around the perimeter of the fascinating abandoned Kezar Falls Woolen Mill. We were struck by the enormity, ominous sky, mysterious doorways and decrepit buildings framed by natural beauty in autumnal decay.
Finally we have some spectacular foliage! Wayne and I took the scenic route to Ossipee, New Hampshire where we had breakfast at a local diner. It rained on the way over but the sun came through on our way home. Here are some of the colorful sights from our drive.
